Curriculum

Building Blocks Academy will be using curriculum developed by North American Montessori Center for ages 0-3. Each age group will have resources to encourage the most important ideas of Montessori methods.

Infant activities encourage development of cognitive skills including focusing, remembering, matching, identifying, tracking, and more. Activities to develop motor skills include rolling, grasping, placing, stacking, pouring, and more will be utilized. We also encourage sensory abilities with visual, aural, olfactory, tactile, and gustatory activities.

For toddlers, a variety of weekly activities are introduced to develop cognitive skills, including sorting, carrying, manipulating, associating, and more. For motor skills, activities will encourage skills including cutting, throwing, balancing, spooning, and more. Sensory abilities will be encouraged through visual, aural, olfactory, and tactile activities.
